Millennium Bridge, London, UK |
Code - MB01B |
The Millennium Bridge was the first new bridge across the Thames in London since Tower Bridge
in 1894. The 'Blade of Light' design was a joint effort between Arup, Foster and Partners
and Sir Anthony Caro. Despite some initial teething problems, on the day of the bridge's
final opening it was crossed by over 90,000 people.
St Paul's Cathedral forms an interesting backdrop in this print, in which the bridge's innovative
suspension design is also clearly visible. |
